NLLinsider.com: Rochester Knighthawks find their way into NLL playoffs.

It all came down to this. Two men enter, one man leaves. There can be only one …playoff team. The same two teams that started the regular season at the Blue Cross Arena finished it off. In what was more or less the play-in game for the National Lacrosse League playoffs, Rochester Beat Philadelphia 11-8 Saturday in front of 8,539 rowdy and proud revelers. The Wings, for their effort, get to start the off-season early, while the Knighthawks, despite finishing under .500 for the first time in team history, continue on to the postseason...

InsideLacrosse.com: In-Game: Princeton at Cornell.

ITHACA - It’s not easy being on top. I’m sure the Tigers of Princeton know all about that after losing 10-7 to Cornell this Afternoon. An unruly band member summed up Princeton’s woes by yelling, “How does it feel to be #1 for less than a week?” as time expired...

More from the Brian Regan interview.

Due to the fact that the article had to be 600 words, this hilarious bit was left off the final copy:

Me: A lot of your material deals with your youth. Did you always want to be a comedian, even at a young age?

Brian Regan: “One of the first times I remember getting a big laugh as a kid was not planned. My family was driving past a funeral procession. I asked my Dad if he ever saw a "real live dead man." He just kept laughing and repeating that. "A real live dead man? No, I can honestly say I never saw a 'real live dead man.'" I had to figure out why that was funny.”

Rochester Insider Magazine: Brian Regan Interview.

Brian Regan is a different kind of comedian.

His comedy falls under the genre of observational humor, but he's more likely to make jokes about his grammar-school spelling bee than the instability of the U.S. economy.

His nostalgic and sometimes poignant look at everyday life resonates with his fans, so it's no surprise that his latest album, "Brian Regan: The Epitome of Hyperbole," was named one of the five best comedy albums of 2008 by "Punchline Magazine."

Rochester CITY Newspaper: The Scene: Murphy's Law
