NLLinsider.com:Knighthawks control their own destiny for National Lacrosse League playoffs.


It looks like the Rochester Knighthawks just aren’t going to go away. Clad in pink jerseys for breast cancer awareness, Rochester beat Boston 11-10 on Saturday night in one of the closest National Lacrosse League games I’ve ever seen. Gary Gait took home game MVP honors with two goals and three assists, including a SportsCenter worthy underhand goal on Rochester’s eighth goal of the game...

InsideLacrosse.com: In-Game: Fairfield at Hobart.


GENEVA, NY-For most of the ECAC season, one goalie has been talked about more than any other. Max Silberlicht has been a save machine for the Hobart Statesmen all season long. But, today, the goalie that opposed him was just a little bit better. Silberlicht finished with nine saves in the Statesmen’s 9-7 loss at the hands of Fairfield. His counterpart, Charlie Cipriano, made twelve saves (many of them point blank in the fourth quarter) to secure the win for the Stags. But, it wasn’t clear sailing from the start. Hobart opened up a quick lead only minutes into the game..

TheFatherLife.com: [OSBURN ON TAP] Shipping Up to Boston


If you have ever seen the movie The Departed, you’ve probably heard the Dropkick Murphys’ song “I’m shipping up to Boston” that plays during the opening sequence. The song tells the story of a pirate who lost his peg leg and looks all over for his missing appendage, to no avail. He decides to sail to Boston to search for it. I love the song as I am always in favor of anything related to pirates. I even thought I was going to grow up to be a pirate for the first five or so years of my life. Sadly, I didn’t end up as a scourge of the seven seas. I can, however, ship up to Boston from time to time in search of something else as equally important to me as a missing leg, great beer...

Prior to this season, Shawn Evans was known around the National Lacrosse League as more of scrapper than a scorer. He was, however, expected to step up offensively this season with the loss of John Grant and his brother Scott. But, with only six goals in his first six games, was Evans going to be the go-to-guy for Rochester?
